Established over 30 years ago the Llanelli Model Flying Club now going from Strength to Strength.

The club prides itself in its friendly but no nonsense approach to model aviation.

We are affiliated to The British Model Flying Association and have monthly club meetings and regularly visit other shows and clubs throughout the year. It is testimony in itself that the club which was established originally over 30 years ago is still going strong and now boasts a healthy membership.  We are greatly appreciative of the support of both the B.A.R.C. and Carmarshenshire County Council  for their assistance.

The club has over seventy members who have a wide variety of experience in flying different model aircraft. Our location allows us a unique opportunity to pursue the sport without causing any undue nuisance to neighboring residences. 

Currently the club has several examiners who are able to assess both "A" and "B" standard flying. To fly unassisted you must hold the minimum of an "A" certificate.

New members are most welcome likewise are members from other clubs visiting the area wanting to bring their own model for a flight.

Our flying times are as follows  Winter after 2.00 pm on Fri and all day Sat and Sun.  Summertime after 5 pm weekdays and all day Sat and Sun   please note that flying is strictly prohibited outside these times as the RAF constantly monitor the air space to ensure safe usage for their pilots .

Membership fees are £32 for new members and £27 per annum thereafter( plus £28 BMFA) for full adult member and £12.50 per anum (plus £14 BMFA) for Junior membership.

You'll find us close to the entrance to B.A.R.C  Pembrey Motor Sports Centre where we have a 130 Meter tarmac runway and a small clubhouse.
