Hi Kerry,
I mainly fly the T-rex 450 v2 which is electric and scary fast but i am also building a trex 600 which i hope to be flying by the end of the month. Everybody usually starts filtering in from 9ish onward but sometimes before. I will help you with setup if you want as i have built up a bit of experience but Leighton is the expert (and a great flyer). Heli flying is definately 50% setup, they need to be right or it will make it harder to learn. The problem is you need experience to set them up and that makes it very hard to go it alone.
Are you mode 1 or mode 2 ?(i fly mode 2 left throttle), most of the club is mode 1. I cant make it Saturday but will be at the show on Sunday where i will bring the helis down for the static show.
Give Jonathan Davies a call for more info on the club itelf, i have just joined 5 months ago and found everybody to be extremely friendly and extremely willing to give up their time to help newcomers. I wouldnt have got in the air without the help i have had. This is definately the right move if you want to get into heli flying. It is definately worth it!!
