Post Hey
Hi Guys

Not really sure how active this place is anymore but thought I'd give it a go.

Basically just getting into the realms of Heli Flying, and very (read VERY) new to it all heh. I had a fixed pitch for Christmas which really gave me the bug, and so I've now bought a Blade SR CP which I'm just getting to grips with the basics of really. Thought I'd try and find somewhere local and see if there was anywhere I could go to have a chat and hopefully learn how to fly the pesky thing heh. No major incidents as yet and managed a 4' hover in the garden before a slight blade strike has grounded me until the postie arrives tomorrow.

Anyway - too much info for an introduction?... maybe but still. Just wanted to show my face really and see if anything was still happening.

Cheers!

Cheers Geoff, much appreciated. Unfortunately, I think I'm grounded again after trying to hover in too small a place (ie: the garden). New Flybar me thinks as it's bent slightly. Good job I bought two sets of blades. Do you think the Phoenix is worth the money?

Thanks again

Hi there,

Phoenix is pretty good and is great for learning new moves but the flight dynamics aren't as realistic as i would like yet (that goes for any sim). The real helis fly better if anything than the sim although it is more intimidating to do stuff with the risk of crashing (which i like doing alot)

Come down one day, im there usually atleast on day on the weekend and happy to help with any advice or setup. I fly the T-Rex 600 and 450 mainly but also the Hirobo Shuttle.

See you soon Ceri
